2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data in a limited, education-service context. The categories below describe what we may collect depending on how you use the site.

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, and any organization information you choose to include.
  • Form content: the message you submit, program selection, learning objectives, preferred format, and any contextual details you include in your inquiry.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type/version, device identifiers, operating system, language settings, and approximate location derived from IP (city/region-level).
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time spent on pages, referrer URL, click paths, and interactions with site components.
  • Cookies and identifiers: first- and third-party cookie IDs and consent records (see Section 4).
  • Conversion events: events such as submitting a contact request, which may be measured to evaluate site performance (subject to cookie consent where applicable).

We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health information, religious beliefs, political opinions), financial account details, or government identification numbers through this website. Please do not submit such information in free-text fields.

3. Why We Process Personal Data & Legal Basis (GDPR Article 6)

Fj Estate ApS processes personal data only where we have a lawful basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The purposes and corresponding legal bases include:

  • Responding to contact requests and enrollment inquiries: to reply to your message, clarify program fit, and provide information you request. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) (steps prior to entering a contract) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) when you submit the form and explicitly agree to be contacted.
  • Providing and securing the website: to maintain site availability, prevent abuse, and protect against fraud and automated attacks. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests in security and integrity of the service).
  • Analytics: to understand how visitors use the site, improve content, and measure which pages are helpful. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) (consent), where analytics cookies/technologies are used.
  • Marketing and advertising measurement: to measure campaign performance and, where enabled, support remarketing and audience creation. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) (consent), where marketing cookies/technologies are used.
  • Legal obligations: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(c).

Automated Decision-Making (GDPR Art. 22): We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some are strictly necessary for the website to work; others help us understand usage or support advertising measurement. Your choices are stored using the cookie consent tool accessible from the footer.

4.1 Essential (Always Active)

Essential cookies are required for the site to function and do not require consent. They may include:

  • _site_session for basic session continuity and stability.
  • cookie_consent to store your cookie preferences selection.
  • Security-related cookies (for example, to support request integrity and protection against abuse).

Retention: from session-only up to 12 months, depending on the cookie purpose.

4.2 Analytics (Consent Required)

If you consent to analytics cookies, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregated usage statistics (for example, which pages are visited and how visitors navigate). Where configured, IP anonymization is used, and we aim to limit data collection to what is necessary for measurement and improvement.

Examples include cookies such as _ga and _ga_XXXXXXXXXX. Analytics data retention is typically set to 14 months.

4.3 Marketing (Consent Required)

If you consent to marketing cookies, we may use technologies to measure advertising performance and support remarketing. This can include Google Ads cookies (such as _gcl_au) and Meta cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc when click identifiers are present). These tools can help attribute conversions and create audiences for relevant educational program information.

Beyond cookies, these technologies may use pixel tags and server-side events to measure conversions. Where server-side measurement is used, identifiers may be hashed before transmission, and processing is limited to measurement and attribution purposes.

5. Consent (EEA/UK)

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom receive a consent notice under GDPR/UK GDPR. Analytics and marketing cookies activate only after explicit, informed, freely given consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Your consent choice is recorded in the cookie_consent browser cookie and is typically stored for 12 months.

You may withdraw consent at any time via the "Manage cookie preferences" link in the footer or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

6. Sharing With Advertising & Service Partners

We use service providers to run and improve the website and, if enabled through consent, to measure and support advertising. We do not sell personal data. Depending on your consent choices and site usage, we may share limited data with:

These providers process data as processors or, in some cases, as independent controllers for their own platforms. We configure tools to limit collection where possible and to respect your consent choices.

7. International Transfers

Fj Estate ApS is based in Denmark, and your data may be processed in countries outside Denmark, including outside the EEA/UK, when we use global service providers (for example, US-based technology partners). Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include:

  • EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and the UK Extension, where applicable) when a recipient is certified.
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (EU Commission Decision 2021/914) as a fallback mechanism.
  • UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA) or equivalent UK transfer mechanisms, as applicable.

We also apply additional measures where appropriate, such as data minimization, access controls, and retention limits.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Typical retention periods include:

  • Contact submissions: up to 2 years from the last interaction, unless you request deletion earlier and no legal obligation requires retention.
  • Email correspondence: for the duration of the relationship plus up to 1 year for continuity and recordkeeping.
  • Server logs: typically up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics data: typically 14 months (where enabled by consent).
  • Marketing cookies: per cookie lifetime (for example, 90 days) and only where enabled by consent.
  • Cookie consent records: up to 3 years for audit purposes where appropriate.
  • Legal/tax obligations: where processing is required by applicable law, retention may be longer (for example, accounting documentation where applicable).

9. Your Rights (GDPR and UK GDPR)

If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have the following rights, subject to conditions and exceptions:

  • Right of access (GDPR Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification (GDPR Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure (GDPR Art. 17)

12. Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing us with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We may request additional information to verify your identity and to locate relevant records. 13. Business Transfers

If Fj Estate ApS is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, restructuring, or insolvency event, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. If such a transfer materially changes how personal data is used, we will provide a notice on the website.

We do not sell personal information as defined by CCPA. We may share limited data for cross-context behavioral advertising where you consent to marketing cookies; you can opt out by adjusting cookie preferences via the footer.
